Our alumni is diverse. Their skill sets vast. Their leadership training is unmatched. They equate all of these characteristics to the education and training they have received at the Royal Military Colleges.
For many of our graduates, after completing their service in the Military they decide to use their RMC education in the corporate world. Our graduates are able to utilize their skills and leadership training to establish Global businesses that employ hundreds of employees, which includes ex-cadets, and service many different types of industries.
As one graduate recently told us: “The academic training that I got at RMC in Engineering Physics transformed me into someone who feels confident in operating at the highest levels in the technology community. I have started (or co-started) seven companies over the years in various areas of technology employing hundreds of people. I could never have done it without the training and confidence I acquired at RMC.”
The donations that we receive from our ex-cadet corporate partners fund critical out of classroom experiences, leadership conferences, and training opportunities for our future leaders. Pratt and Whitney Canada has been a supporter of the Annual Legacy Dinner for the past number of years. The Company, who employs a large number of ex-cadets, provides a sponsorship to the dinner and sits with Engineering Students to share their stories and provide them with advice on what lies ahead in their careers.
Canso Investment Counsel is also a proud supporter of the RMC Foundation and has been our Platinum Level Supporter of our Annual Legacy Dinner for many years. 11623 John Carswell, Class of 1978, and President of Canso Investment Counsel Ltd, recently provided $200,000 to start an Endowment to fund Officer Cadets from the Colleges to participate in major charitable gala events, most recently the True Patriot Love Gala in November.
